NEW BERN – Paige Winter was joined by friends and family Tuesday as she received a $3,000 donation from a GoFundMe campaign that was created to cover tuition costs for the cosmetology program at »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ (»Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ CC).

Winter, who gained national attention in 2019 following a shark attack that resulted in the loss of her left leg, will start at »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ CC in January. Started by Krystin Brown and Lori Glass, the GoFundMe scholarship campaign has raised enough funds to cover materials and tuition for one year of the two-year program.
