Our partnership with the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ-Pamlico Re-Entry Council (CPRC) provides a support network for formerly incarcerated individuals of »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ and Pamlico counties. Together, we provide guidance from the point of leaving the prison system to obtaining health care and family stability, re-entering the workforce, and becoming productive citizens. This initiative helps those who have served their time and paid their debts to:
- Compete for a job
- Attain stable housing
- Support their families
- Contribute to the community
- Reduce crime and recidivism rates
The partnership will also help cover student costs related to housing, transportation, childcare, food and hygiene items, administrative fees, vocational/educational training, and school-related supplies and fees.
In addition, the CPRC is an instrumental partner of our Job Readiness Boot Camp, a two-week program that is open to anyone interested in honing job skills, including ex-offenders.

Client Spotlight
During a successful job fair at the Volt Center on June 4, 2025, Devin Williams, one of our clients, proved the importance of partnership and collaboration. Thank you, NCWorks, for being a partner to »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ Pamlico Re-Entry Council and so many other agencies. Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM)! See Devin's testimonial of his new career in his own words:
"My story starts 3/21/2025, the day I was released from prison. I tried hard to get a job, filled out many applications. Other than a couple of interviews, I had no luck. I was starting to give up hope but I stayed strong and went two routes. I made a resume and turned them in to various HVAC companies. I also went to NCWorks and was majorly assisted by Ms. Bonita Simmons and Mr. Duane Clark. I didn't end up finding a job - I found a career instead."
