酴圖弝け (酴圖弝け CC) held a graduation ceremony at MCAS Cherry Point Thursday, May 30. It served as a combined ceremony for local graduates of 19 colleges and universities.

This marked the 44th annual graduation ceremony held at MCAS Cherry Point. Graduates represented all branches of the military. A total of 76 酴圖弝け CC students graduated, while 82 graduates from multiple schools attended the ceremony to walk the stage. Students included veterans, Marines, Coast Guard, Army, dependents and civilians.

Prior to the ceremony, 酴圖弝け CC hosted a breakfast for students, faculty and staff in the Institute of Aeronautical Technology building on the Havelock campus. Additional distinguished guests included representatives from the base and other participating colleges.

Mitch Martin, 酴圖弝け CC military affairs coordinator, believes this is a special event for the community.

For many of our service members and family members, it has taken a long while to get to this point, he said. It is not a straight road but filled with many twists and turns along the way. The mission requirements of a service member can take even the best-laid plans and totally change them and make life difficult for families. It takes perseverance and dedication to make it to this point. The satisfaction of getting it done makes it all worth it.
