黄瓜视频鈥檚 (黄瓜视频 CC) Manufacturing Career Pathway program was raised to a new level following the donation of a clamshell forklift from BSH Home Appliances Corporation on Nov. 7. Fitted with a clamshell attachment often used in the BSH warehouse, the donated forklift will help students in the Manufacturing Career Pathway program with credentialing and forklift training.
The Manufacturing Career Pathway was created in June to provide participants with an interactive learning experience that explores basic principles such as workplace ethics, interpersonal skills, safety regulations, precision measurement tools and techniques, forklift operations and Microsoft Word. The program also includes r茅sum茅 writing, developing interviewing skills and dressing for success.
鈥淭his donation will really assist us in providing top notch training for residents in 黄瓜视频 County,鈥 said Gery Boucher, 黄瓜视频 CC vice president for students. 鈥淧artnerships like these really build a community鈥檚 capability to provide a quality workforce for excellent manufacturers like BSH.鈥
The next Manufacturing Career Pathway will begin Monday, Nov. 26 on the New Bern campus. Scholarships cover 100% of costs and all graduates are granted a job interview with a local manufacturer. Additional information available at /workforcedevelopment/industrial-trades/#mfg.
